1963

Founding of CIME - Companhia Industrial de Materiais Elétricos, with 3 employees on a land covering 4,500 m² and a constructed area of 550 m², with the aim of galvanized electrical hardware for electricity.

1968

Beginning of the Veit family’s management. 

1971

A 250 ton friction press begins operation, producing forged products for the agricultural and road equipment markets. 

1973

The company moves to its current location on a 26,000 m² stretch of land with a constructed are of 1,600 m² . Forging Unit I opens, equipped with a 25 kJ Banhammer.

1975

A 50kJ banhammer begins operation.  The first NCR computer is installed. 

1980

A 1000 tonf. Smeral press begins operation.

1984

Constructed area expanded to 6,800 m². Production begins on machined parts for tractors, road and agricultural equipment.

1988

Forging Unit 2 opens, equipped with a 4000 tonf. Smeral press

1991

Production begins on precision machined parts with lathes, grinders and CNC gear generator.

1995

Production of hot extruded steel begins.

1995

Production begins on truck steering arms. 

1996

Machining operations expanded, with the adoption of cellular manufacturing. 

1996

The MaxiRationalization plan is implemented, aimed at achieving excellence through the focused production of exclusive parts for a reduced group of clients.

1998

A mini factory opens producing components for the three-point hitch system of agricultural tractors. 

2003

Production begins on truck arms aimed at the American market. 

2004

The Fatigue Testing Laboratory opens with product design using computer-aided-manufacturing and design and CAE design metal forming.

2005

The first product patent is registered.

2008

Production of hot extruded steel begins.

2009

Production begins on long axes for the agricultural market. 

2010

The Lean Manufacturing Program begins.

2013

Implementation of machining using cellular manufacturing. The company’s current facilities has 26,000 m² of constructed area. 

2014

ISO 14.001 Certification

2016

Expansion of the shipping area and construction of a new reception building, totaling an area of 30,500 m².
